Hello! I'm Ava (she/her).
I care about designing for human capability and believe technology should empower people — make us more capable, creative, and connected. I'm drawn to products that give humans new powers, instead of distractions, and tech that bridges the physical-digital to quietly improve real life.
I approach designing with curiosity and a desire to learn about the user, the business, and the context. My focus lies in product work, but my background includes print material, web design, editorial design and traditional art media.
Currently, I'm a senior at University of Texas at Austin 🤘 pursuing a dual degree in Informatics, concentrating in UX Design, and Plan II, where I'm working on a senior thesis on scholar rocks as projections of mountains in Chinese landscape painting.
Previously, I worked at Google 💻 to design internal tools for marketers, at H-E-B 🛒 to reimagine digital grocery discovery experience, and at Southwest ✈️ to get passengers through the Day of Travel journey with as little headache as possible. I'm always open to collaborating on projects in print publication, fashion, and tech!
